Overview
This presentation outlines two recent rail tunnel projects in Perth – the New MetroRail City and Perth CityLink Rail Projects. It focuses on the technical issues that had to be addressed in the design planning for each and in particular where CityLink crosses over New MetroRail with less than 600mm clearance.
Speaker – Robert Lowe, MICE
Robert has 50 years of civil engineering experience in Australia, the UK, Africa, and the Middle East.
That experience has focused on major civil infrastructure such as bridges,tunnels, railways, roadways and ports as well as building engineering. He has contributed to the engineering planning, design and contract supervision of all recent urban rail tunnel projects in Perth and his presentation focuses on interesting aspects of the New MetroRail City and Perth CityLink Rail projects.
